With over 20 years of experience in the employee benefits industry, Kathleen M. Hart delivers efficient and effective services to the firm’s clients in all areas of employee benefit plan administration.

Kathy routinely communicates with clients and service providers regarding benefit eligibility, claims, appeals, distributions and other related issues. She researches government rules and regulations and prepares draft plan documents, trusts, summary plan descriptions, related amendments and other ancillary documents. She also provides administrative advice on day-to-day issues facing multiemployer plans.

Prior to joining Blitman & King LLP, Kathy was the manager and third party administrator of an insurance agency’s cafeteria plan department where she oversaw a team of employees, adjudicated claims and performed annual and periodic discrimination testing.

In her spare time, Kathleen volunteers for local theater, including Open Hand Theater and Civic Center. She enjoys attending her monthly book club, playing classical piano, swimming, hiking, gardening and travel.
