Leslie A. DuMond, a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist with over 20 years of professional experience in the benefits industry, assists clients with a broad and diverse range of services in the day-to-day administration of their employee benefit plans.
In communicating with plan sponsors and their benefit departments, Leslie routinely addresses administrative matters involving participants’ eligibility for benefits, benefit claims and distributions, COBRA administration, HIPAA compliance, Medicare Part D compliance, claims and appeals issues, and distribution of required annual and periodic notices to participants. She also assists plan sponsors and coordinates with service providers concerning renewal of fiduciary liability insurance and fidelity bond policies, annual audits of financial statements and preparation of governmental filings, reporting and disclosure requirements, Internal Revenue Service and U.S. Department of Labor audits, and pending litigation.
Leslie prepares routine letters and communications as well as draft amendments to operational documents including trust agreements, plans, summary plan descriptions, service provider agreements and other benefits related documents.
When not serving the firm’s clients, Leslie enjoys performing church volunteer work including serving as Treasurer and participating in mission projects and fundraisers. She also enjoys cooking, gardening and home improvement projects.
