Tammy B. Nolin has substantial experience assisting clients with a broad and diverse range of services in the day-to-day administration of their employee benefit plans.
In communicating with plan sponsor and their benefit departments, Tammy routinely addresses administrative matters involving participants’ eligibility for benefits, benefit claims and appeal procedures, plan distributions, COBRA administration, HIPAA compliance, Medicare Part D compliance, and distribution of required annual and periodic notices to participants.
Tammy provides assistance with the preparation of routine letters and communications and operational documents including trust agreements, plan documents, summary plan descriptions, service provider agreements and other documents on behalf of the employee benefit funds. Ms. Nolin also assists plan sponsors and coordinates with service providers concerning renewal of fiduciary liability insurance and fidelity bond policies, reporting and disclosure requirements, applications for IRS tax-exempt status, and assistance with Internal Revenue Service and U.S. Department of Labor audits and litigation involving employee benefit plans.
Prior to joining Blitman & King LLP, Tammy worked as a legal/compliance administrator for an investment adviser subsidiary of a large mutual fund company in Boston, Massachusetts.
In her spare time, Tammy enjoys traveling as well as spending time with her family and friends.
